April marks National Pet Month so The Gresham Aparthotel in Leicester are celebrating by running a competition to win a luxury stay for your favourite, furry four-legged friend.
This pawsome prize includes a city centre stay for your pooch and their chosen human(s) plus a luxury treat hamper (for the hound).
To be in with a chance of winning The Gresham bosses are asking you to post a picture of your pooch relaxing, enjoying a pamper or generally just loving life, tagging in @TheGreshamStay and using the hashtags #DogStaysAtTheGresham #DogsOfInstagram #NationalPetMonth
The winner will be chosen at random at the end of the month.
The Gresham started offering dog stays a few months ago and, so far they have proved popular. Specific apartments are allocated for pet stays and include their own luxury dog beds and feeding stations to ensure that doggy guests can experience the excellent levels of comfort, flexibility and service that their human guests also enjoy.
Nestled at the very heart of Leicester, The Gresham Aparthotel has kept the individual charm of the iconic building (formerly Fenwicks) with each room elegantly designed for a luxurious bespoke stay. And nothing beats the flexibility and freedom each room offers through kitchen facilities, living space, and home from home comforts.
According to World Animal Foundation over 31% of adults in the UK* own a dog, so the team at The Gresham knew it made sense to welcome pets into the aparthotel.
Mark Hills, General Manager at The Gresham Aparthotel, said: “We want all our guests to feel relaxed, happy and at home. Our VID’s (Very Important Dogs) are no exception. We understand that having your dog by your side for some of our guests is very important and that is why dog stays were introduced.
“The Gresham offers a relaxed, comfortable and stylish home from home environment. We recognise that ‘home is where the dog is’ (or where the human is) for many so we thought that National Pet Month would be an ideal time to encourage more pet owners to treat their four-legged friends to a luxury break where they can put their paws up and live their best dogs life.
“We have made sure that the rooms, which have been chosen specifically, accommodate dogs in the best way possible. This means they are close to the ground floor, have a comfortable cushioned bed and separate food and drink bowls. Each room is serviced in an extra special way at the end of their stay too.
“Every single guest is unique, and we always want to make their stay as enjoyable as pawsible.”
Thanks to the team at The Gresham who have set up rooms with extra special details - dogs can put up their paws in style. They will have their own comfy bed, two sparkly clean bowls for all their dining needs and a special on arrival treat. There are dog friendly places throughout the city where stickers are in shop windows welcoming dogs this includes Highcross.
With local beauty spots also on the doorstep of The Gresham there are several superb dog walks close by such as Abbey Park, Aylestone Meadows, Victoria Park and Bradgate Park.
*According to the latest research and data, there are 12 Million Pet dogs in UK, Which Accounts for 31%.
